Community service is one of the three pillars of YCDC. Consultants and young professionals in the Washington, DC metropolitan area have a wide variety of skills and experiences. YCDC seeks to unite these consultants and leverage their skills to give back to the surrounding community, while also providing members with hands-on experiences that will help them develop their own professional careers.

Whether it is building a house or mentoring children in a DC public school, YCDC gives members the opportunity to make a real difference in their community. YCDC provides members with a diverse set of opportunities for volunteerism. YCDC makes it easy for members to get involved by matching members' interests with the needs of partner organizations within the community. Participating in YCDC community service events allow individuals to not only meet other people within the community, but also meet other YCDC members.

The YCDC Community Service Committee plans events and establishes partnerships with local community service organizations. We are always looking for more input. Please contact Katie Tobin if you would like to get involved with planning events.
