Political Consulting 101

Join YCDC's Government & Politics (GAP) Program and The American Association of Political Consultants (AAPC) for a "Political Consulting 101" Panel. Learn what it takes to be a top political consultant from a highly qualified panel of well-known DC political consultants representing various segments of political consulting. Hors d'oeuvres will be served with signature Red State/Blue State cocktails.

Streetwise Partners Mock Interview Day
Date: Tuesday, July 13th; 6:30-9PM
Location: TBD
Conduct three mock interviews with individuals who are applying to participate in our Fall program. Volunteers play different interviewer ‘roles’ - CEO, Line Manager, HR Manager – to give the mentees experience with different types of interviews. Volunteers then give mentees feedback about their performance and their resume. The event takes place on Tuesday, July 13th (6:30pm - 9:00pm) in downtown Washington, D.C. Street Soccer USA Cup
Date: July 30th-August 1st; Game; Sunday, August 1st; 12-3PM
Location: Washington Kastles Stadium (corners of 11th and H St); closest metro Metro Center (orange/blue/red lines)
DC is hosting the Street Soccer USA Cup, a unique sport for social change event featuring 18 street soccer teams from across the country. The players are currently or formerly homeless individuals who are working with their coaches and teammates to set and achieve goals on and off the field. The Cup will be played at Washington Kastles Stadium, (located at the corner of 11th and H ST NW, Washington DC). Learn more at www.streetsoccerusa.org. YCDC will have a cheering section for the Cup on Sunday, August 1 from 12-3 PM. We are hoping to fill the stands with supportive, cheering fans.
