History

The concept of YCDC emerged during a series of dinners and meetings between three college friends, who had recently graduated from Duke University and moved to Washington, D.C. to begin consulting jobs.

YCDC was founded in 2004 by Melanie Oberman, Brian Gagnon and John Solomon. As young professionals in D.C. they discovered many others in the field with similar passions, interests and hobbies. The problem was that no organization existed to bring the consultants together. They saw an opportunity to create an organization that not only hosted social events, but also sponsored community project and educational forums in the area.

After several years of organic growth, the concept and network of YCDC gained merit and recognition.  YCDC is now on a strategic path for continued success offering more programs and opportunities than ever before.
