YCDC founders at Servathon 2005
YCDC founders

The concept of YCDC emerged during a series of dinners and meetings between three college friends, who had recently graduated from Duke University and moved to Washington DC to begin consulting jobs. Brian Gagnon, Melanie Oberman and John Solomon founded YCDC in 2004. As young professionals in DC we discovered many others in our field with similar passions, interests and hobbies. The problem was that no organization existed to bring all of us together.

We wanted to reach out to these young professionals and create an organization that not only hosted social events, but also sponsored community service projects and educational forums in the area. The creation of YCDC seeks to enrich both its members and surrounding community. We all have unique experiences and skills that can be leveraged to really make a difference.

YCDC is growing every day. We are always striving to recruit more members and hold successful events.
