Join the YCDC Servathon team to join in the 18th Annual Greater DC Cares Servathon Friday and Saturday, April 23-24th, 2010. Servathon has an 18 year history of bringing together thousands of area volunteers for two extraordinary days of service. Learn how to get the most out of your income tax returns by going through a basic tax preparation course, then practice your skills by lending that knowledge to the community. In addition to helping people, you'll leave with a rich understanding of tax policy and how it affects our most vulnerable community members. Starting at the end of January interested volunteers will spend one day a week (or every other week) preparing tax returns for low and moderate income tax payers in the Petworth and Pleasant Plains areas.
