Learn & Practice Tax Returns for Others
Learn how to get the most out of your income tax returns by going through a basic tax preparation course, then practice your skills by lending that knowledge to the community. In addition to helping people, you'll leave with a rich understanding of tax policy and how it affects our most vulnerable community members. Starting at the end of January interested volunteers will spend one day a week (or every other week) preparing tax returns for low and moderate income tax payers in the Petworth and Pleasant Plains areas.  To get involved, email Sherman Taylor at SJTaylor.10@gmail.com and mention that you were referred by YCDC.
